Wellness needs are as individual as someone’s fingerprint. Personally, I know that focusing on my well-being means spending time outside. Especially with working from home, I always make a conscious effort to leave my house and go outside. Whether that’s on a long walk with my dog or sitting on a park bench with a good book, I always feel recharged after spending time in the fresh air and sunshine.

Some people find deep cleaning their house to be therapeutic, or by sweating out their frustrations during a workout. Others make sure to focus on their mental health with a professional healthcare provider. The bottom line- it’s different for everybody.

Even before COVID, poor health cost employers dearly. Pre-2020, 60% of employees lived with at least one health condition, costing employers $1 trillion per year in absenteeism. Supporting employee wellness is key to reducing healthcare costs, but how do you do that when wellness looks different for everyone? Show employees you care about their well-being can lead to greater retention and productivity, as well as a more positive company culture and high levels of employee engagement.

There is no single way to improve employee wellbeing, here are some tips to get started.

Closing time

You have already provided your employees with a generous PTO policy, but those days are usually spent doing anything but focusing on their wellbeing and health. Closing the (hybrid) office every now for a mental health day gives your employees time to focus on them, whether that’s running errands they haven’t had time for or just relaxing. Your employees will feel supported, refreshed, and will come back to work ready to focus.

Let’s get physical

We know that physical activity has a lot of benefits for the body, like lowering heart rates and improving your brain health. It also has a number of mental health benefits, like reducing your risk for anxiety, depression, and can improve sleep quality, all important parts of wellness. Even knowing all this information, getting started can be the hardest part. Bundle makes it easy for your employees. They can schedule fitness sessions like High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) and yoga, knowing that their workplace supports them and their fitness journey.

Get a breather

Taking a break is easier said than done, especially when working from home. Being always connected has its perks, but many employees have issues with powering down for the day. When you provide employees with access to Bundle, they can take a meaningful break that works for them. Employees can rest and recharge with a mindfulness session, learn a new hobby, or just have fun. Work teams can even relax together with Team session, leading to greater connectivity and collaboration in the office. No matter what they choose, they can focus on their wellness knowing their employer supports them.

Bundle offers a number of solutions for supporting employee wellness. Contact us with any questions, and sign-up for a free trial and see how Bundle can help.
